Born in China, being a student, a wife, a mother and a career woman in Singapore since 1995, I always consider myself very lucky to have good exposure to different aspects of life, which make me become a more well-rounded person, allow me to see things from different perspectives, and to meet people from where they are.
Through the years, I have realized that when human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic or stressful experience. I help my clients, who include children, adolescence, adults and families, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves better and live a life with peace, completion and whole.
My education background includes Post. Grad in Counselling Psychology accredited by SAC (Singapore Counselling Association), Executive Master’s Degree from NUS, and Honors Degree from University of Wales. I had more than 15 years of working experiences in MNC and local firms as managerial position since in Singapore. I firmly believe that life will become more meaningful when I share my knowledge, skills and life experiences with people who are in need.
During covid-19 period, in view of increasing family violence, my article “Truth Behind Family Violence” written from psychological perspective was selected and published by Singapore Le He Zao Bao on May 8, 2020.
For me, each client is different who brings in a unique situation, so the way I approach them varies as well. However, there are always something in common when I meet my clients – the genuine interest to know their unique attributes and desire to help and support them. I consider my ability to change and adapt to each client with empathic understanding and unconditional disregards is a healthy challenge for me, and I have always looked forward to it.
