“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
- Viktor Frankl
I am incredibly passionate about the work I do in counselling. I have more than ten years of experience, including my corporate experience in human resources, training & counselling. Living in different places in India and Singapore has given me a multicultural outlook on working with clients of different nationalities.
Previously, I have worked with youths and parents. Issues ranged from cyber addictions, gaming and other behavioural problems teens face. I have also facilitated mental health workshops in local schools in Singapore to promote mental health awareness. I have also volunteered at various places where I have supported helplines to provide emotional support to children and counselling for domestic workers.
Currently, I work with adolescents and adults with issues with interpersonal relationships, behaviour, anger, stress, anxiety, grief, depression, specific phobias, attachment wounds or other mental health difficulties. Apart from this, I work with couples with issues like conflict management, marital problems and parenting conflicts. I use the Gottman couple method and EFT for my work with couples. I also use an integrative approach grounded in person-centred therapy (PCT); I draw from evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, SFBT, Mindfulness-Based Approaches and DBT.
I view each client’s issues as unique, diverse, and tailor-made to meet their needs. My belief is to give my clients a safe space where they don’t feel judged. I believe empathy and compassion are my core values and translate the same into my practice. I am passionate about helping individuals find their true selves, embrace themselves fully, and realise their full potential. I am passionate about helping them find their true selves and embrace themselves fully and genuinely.
