Esther is an experienced systemic counsellor with more than 8 years’ experience in both counselling and social work sector. She has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals, children, families and groups across their life span.
Esther is passionate about systemic work and adopts a biopsychosocial-spiritual and person-in-environment model to aid in assessment and intervention. She believes in a strengths-based approach that is holistic and guided by the individual needs of the client. She adopts an eclectic approach by integrating evidence-based therapies such as CBT, Systems theory and Satir Model to ignite hope and help people experience experiential change through the counselling process. She is particularly passionate about providing therapy for child behavioural and mental health issues (including mood, anxiety, OCD) for adolescents and adults.
Esther is a firm believer that every individual has an inherent potential for positive change and believes in working in partnership with clients, utilizing their strengths to help them overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. She believes that when people are hopeful and motivated to challenge themselves, they experience exponential change.
She also provides clinical and administrative supervision to social work interns and professionals.
