Bioenergetic Analysis Exercises
Bioenergetic Analysis Exercises are body-based practices that help participants reconnect with their body, release tension, and build greater emotional awareness.

This approach is based on Bioenergetic Analysis Therapy, a body-oriented psychotherapy developed by Dr. Alexander Lowen. It explores how emotional stress, past experiences, and psychological challenges may be held in the body through muscular tension, posture, breathing patterns, or restricted movement.
Through guided exercises such as grounding, breathing, movement, vibration, shaking, and self-expression, participants are supported in developing a stronger mind-body connection and greater emotional freedom.

Embracing Emotional Freedom: Bioenergetic Analysis Exercise Classes
What is a Bioenergetic Analysis Exercise Class?
A Bioenergetic Analysis Exercise Class is a structured session where participants engage in physical exercises that support body awareness, emotional expression, and tension release.

The aim is to help participants become more aware of how emotions may be experienced in the body, while building a sense of stability, vitality, and emotional balance.
Goal and Principles
The main goal of these classes is to support the release of emotional blocks and help participants reconnect with themselves in a safe and guided way.

The core principles include:
-
Grounding — building stability and connection with the body
-
Breathing — using breath to support emotional awareness
-
Vibration — encouraging movement of energy through the body
-
Shaking — helping the body discharge daily stress
-
Self-expression — expressing emotions through movement and sound
-
Emotional release — supporting the release of stored tension
-
Interactive experience — exploring boundaries, connection, and emotional exchange
How is it Different from Yoga or Mindfulness?
Bioenergetic exercises may look similar to yoga or mindfulness, but the focus is different.

Yoga often focuses on posture, breath, and physical or spiritual wellbeing. Mindfulness focuses on present-moment awareness and observing thoughts or emotions.

Bioenergetic exercises focus more on psychological and emotional expression through the body. They encourage natural breathing, movement, and emotional release to support self-awareness and mind-body connection.

Structure and Logistics
Classes are usually held in small groups of up to 8 participants, allowing more personalised guidance from the therapist.

Sessions may begin with grounding and breathing exercises, followed by expressive movements and interactive experiences. Participants are encouraged to explore at their own pace in a structured and supportive environment.

Although these classes are not therapy sessions, the therapist is present to support participants if emotions arise during the exercises. Comfortable sportswear is recommended to allow free movement.
Frequency and Prices

Bioenergetic Analysis Exercise Classes are available at the centre for individuals or groups. Class frequency may vary, although regular weekly attendance is encouraged for better continuity and support.
Reflections

Bioenergetic exercise classes may be helpful on their own, and they can also complement individual psychotherapy.

Individual sessions may allow deeper exploration of emotions that come up during the exercises, offering more personalised support. Together, group classes and individual therapy may support emotional awareness, body connection, and overall wellbeing.
