“You don’t have to do it all at once, just one step at a time.”
Ivan is a dedicated associate psychologist with specialised experience in treating eating disorders, trauma, and emotional challenges in youth and young adults. He previously worked at a private mental health clinic, where he was a lead facilitator in an intensive outpatient day program for individuals with eating disorders. In this role, he conducted structured sessions focused on psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, leisure-based therapeutic activities, and supported meal times.

Ivan is known for his collaborative and client-centred approach, working alongside a multidisciplinary team that included a clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, dietitian, and family therapist to ensure holistic and integrated care.

He is passionate about empowering clients to take ownership of their mental health journey. Ivan has facilitated support groups for individuals with eating disorders and also led caregiver support groups, where he offered guidance on fostering helpful, non-enabling caregiving strategies.

With strong expertise in crisis management, Ivan provides a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore and regulate intense emotional experiences. His trauma-informed practice emphasises compassion, personal resilience, and culturally sensitive support tailored to each individual’s coping style.

Currently, Ivan works primarily with youth and young adults, supporting issues related to trauma, identity development, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. He stays informed about evolving trends in mental health therapy and integrates evidence-based techniques with empathy, warmth, and unconditional positive regard.

Outside of therapy, Ivan finds joy in hiking, road trips, playing basketball, and running—activities that reflect his belief in mind-body wellness, self-care, and the healing power of movement and nature.
